International internship in Barcelona - Trade Analyst

THE ROLE :

 

As a trade analyst, you’ll break down data extracts to ensure the overall business development of the market you oversee and take on feeder ownership.

In addition to the Trade and Feeder responsibilities several process excellence seeking projects are to be carried out (listed as sub-bullets here below). 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES : 

 

You’ll act as a trade ambassador for Atlantic ports: 
•    Coordinate with Line Management and ambassadors to perfect the market feedback process, to ensure that provided guidelines are competitive and clear. 
•    Fill out local tenders, control the volume, perfect the equipment flow.
•    Perform market research, analyzing customer behavior, identifying opportunities and threats - recommend service improvement through market studies.
•    Monitor performance per customer, protect niche market clients.
•    Take on feeder ownership - enhance feeder optimization process.
•    Contribute to monthly feedback to internal stakeholders (CS, management, HO).

 

 

PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS :

 

•    First year of Business School Master’s degree (M1/+4 years).
•    A first experience in a shipping business position appreciated.
•    Fluency in English, Spanish and French are appreciated.
•    Detail-oriented and result driven.
•    Good communication skills (oral & written).
•    Good decision quality and problem-solving skills.
•    Comfortable with data analysis and using the relevant tools (QlikSense, Excel etc.).
