YOUR ROLE


CEVA Logistics is looking for a driven and focused Industrial Engineer to join our team at Mangere East AUK, supporting across our multisite operations.


Your mission will be to identify process improvements across our contract logistics warehouse operations and drive both profit improvements and efficiencies.


WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?


Specifically, you will:

 

  • Work with sites to improve their processes in line with LEAN and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Deliver project improvements with focus on identifying opportunities, process re-engineering, driving efficiency through process change, and redesigning and implementing operational layout changes
  • Provide guidance and support to sites to enable them to successfully conduct and complete Kaizen activities
  • Maintain BPE tools such as 5S, scheduling tools, performance boards, productivity reports, utilisation reports
  • Assist sites to develop and maintain work instructions and forms.


WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 


Our ideal candidate is tertiary qualified in industrial engineering, logistics / supply chain or similar, with some work-related experience (preference for logistics / supply chain, manufacturing, resources, or related). Alternatively, we would be happy to develop a graduate with no experience, but the desire to learn and grow into the role.


Other attributes:

 

  • Knowledge of LEAN and continuous improvement methodologies and tools
  • Clear communication; good influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions and make appropriate recommendations
  • Strong MS Excel skills including use of VLOOKUPS, pivot tables (bonus: VBA, Macros).


In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to complete a medical assessment and national police check.
