YOUR ROLE

 

As the Health & Safety Manager you will oversee the HSE Support Team, upskilling their technical ability and delivering a more proactive value add service to the business. You will be responsible for creating a passionate and driven team through a range of engagement and training activities. Due to the nature of the work, travel is required to attend meetings or H&S inspections at various locations. 

 

Monday – Friday 40 hours per week.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

Collaborating with stakeholders to recognise and assist in taking actions necessary for improving safety and ensuring legal compliance. You'll provide guidance to Regional HSE Support Partners, offering instruction on workplace examinations, risk evaluations, and incident inquiries.

 

Develop educational material for internal HSEQ training programs, collaborating with Learning & Development, Transport Centre of Excellence, and Business Process Excellence teams to maintain consistency in Managerial and Operational training. You will take the lead and orchestrate the execution of internal HSE education on subject-specific topics. Attend kick off and scoping meetings as the H&S Stream Lead on all zero-defect implementation projects; with the support from Regional Support Partners in the delivery of the work stream plan, through to successful go live.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing a team, delivering performance improvements and experience of coordinating training programmes with operational management experience in a fast-paced 3PL environment. It is essential you have comprehensive knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO45001 management processes, principles, and methodologies.

 

As a Health & Safety Manager you will have strong negotiating skills with experience of holding challenging conversations and the ability to deliver change management through strong stakeholder relationships.

 

Essential qualifications:

 

  • NEBOSH / NCRQ Level 6 Diploma
  • Full clean driving license
  • IEMA Foundation Certificate
  • CMIOSH Professional Status
