HR Administrator (Recent Graduate)

Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, this role is a centralised HR service to support the HR team and the business in meeting its strategic objectives, to assist in the research, design and implementation of key HR initiatives and a range of HR projects to enhance engagement and communication within the business.

 

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

 

  • Provide general HR assistance to all members of the HR team, managers and staff
  • Create and maintain employee personnel files to ensure all filing is up to date
  • Manage and update internal staff lifecycle activities and systems ie processing Commencements, Internal Transfers, Cessations, Maternity Leave
  • Coordination of New Starter Induction Packs and office tours
  • Provide H&S support through sourcing and coordinating H&S training (First Aid Mental Health Committee, HSR training etc), supporting the Wellness Calendar of activities, coordinating all COVID related activities (permits, COVID Safety Plans, tracking mandatory vaccinations etc)
  • Providing administrative support for various staff enagement and benefit programs (Myki Commuter Club, eBirthdays, Service Awards etc)
  • Support the Talent Acquisition Partner in recruitment processing activities and administration
  • Monitor completion of mandatory training in support of the Learning & Development Officer
  • Maintenance of Sharepoint and uploading staff documentation as required
  • Provide HRIS management support to the HR Business Partners and HRIS Analyst/ Payroll Officer
  • Co-ordinate the Co-Op (graduate) program, faciliate related activities and participate in University career fairs to promote the program
  • Create HR reports on an as needs basis for HR Operations Manager and Payroll.

 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

 

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or any HR related field is preferred 
  • A recent graduate with at least 12 months of experience in human resource function is beneficial
  • Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise tasks
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Maintain confidentiality and effective working relationship
  • Customer service oriented with flexible approach to work
