About the Role:
Reporting to: Tenders Manager
Employment Type: 12-month, fixed term, full-time
Work Location: South Wharf, Melbourne
The Tenders Officer is responsible for managing and coordinating the end-to-end tender process, preparing tender submissions, supporting contract negotiations, and maintaining freight agreements to drive commercial success.
The role and responsibilities will include:
- Managing and coordinating the end-to-end tender process, including the preparation and submission of customer tenders and freight agreements.
- Supporting contract negotiations and ensuring tender outcomes align with commercial objectives and customer requirements.
- Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on tender performance, customer volumes, and account profitability.
- Coordinating the implementation and maintenance of contract terms, tariffs, and pricing data within internal systems.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, regional offices, and key customers to ensure accurate contract management and ongoing account support.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in tenders, pricing, commercial support, contract administration, or a related role within shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, or a similar industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and produce meaningful reports and insights.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with customers.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and confidence working with large datasets and commercial systems.
Eligibility Requirements
- Applicants must have full working rights in Australia for the entire duration of the contract.
- New Zealand citizens planning to relocate permanently to Victoria, Australia, are more than welcome to apply.
