Your Role:
The Solution Design Professional at CEVA Lead Logistics is supporting business growth by creating and pricing technical solutions that can be offered to our customers (new or existing) to support their businesses. This involves analyzing customer RFQs, understanding the customer needs (spoken and unspoken), designing optimal logistics processes, and assessing innovation/automation potential to deliver effective, efficient, competitive, and robust solutions.
The Solution Design Professional is a member of a team that is led by a Solution Design Manager. This team has global scope, supporting new 4PL business in all regions.
What are you going to do?
Tender response
- Coordinate and contribute to the response to 4PL tenders assigned by the Solution Design Manager, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions.
- Act as an active listener, identifying spoken and unspoken needs of the client and other stakeholders, and make evidence-based recommendations (with fact-based analysis and mathematical rigor) on the scope, size and financial aspect of the proposed solution.
- Collaborate with Business Development team and the Solution Design Manager to jointly decide the main principles of the solution, ensuring alignment with client needs and CEVA Lead Logistics strategy.
- Deliver high-quality work on assigned opportunities and secure profitable new/renewal contracts in alignment to the CEVA Lead Logistics strategy.
- Participate in meetings with existing or potential customers, particularly during solution design workshops to identify their needs, or during proposal presentations.
- Upon request, support RPS Business Development team and contribute to the response to RPS tenders, maintaining the same quality standards as for 4PL tenders.
- Upon winning business, ensure a seamless handover to Operations and Project Management, maintaining clear communication and support throughout the implementation.
Solution development
- Identify capability gaps between an assigned tender and actual capabilities, and raise them with relevant stakeholders (SD Manager, BPE, Product Development, Operations). Follow and contribute to the development of new solutions to bridge these gaps, in collaboration with Business Development, Product Development, Operations and BPE.
- Document newly designed processes and ensure a seamless handover to Operations and BPE.
Supply chain design
- Provide clients or other agreed stakeholders (Business Development, Product Development, Operations, BPE & Project Management) with insights in supply chain management, logistics networks, processes, systems, modelling and optimization.
- Analyze the current state of supply chains and support the design of improved solutions that meet client needs.
Team enrichment.
- Contribute to a team of Solution Designers (Professionals and/or Experts), by generously sharing personal knowledge and learning from others.
- Drive collaboration with other CEVA Products by developing strong relationships with CEVA sector/regional BD teams.
- Enhance knowledge of logistics solutions from CLL, other CEVA products, CMA-CGM, the logistics industry, other industries.
- Develop and maintain CLL knowledge base by documenting/updating case studies and best practices (e.g. supply chain management processes, quantitative supply chain analysis/optimization techniques, supply chain systems, etc.).
Who are we looking for?
- Master degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Science/Engineering.
- 2 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management or Logistics
- Practical knowledge and experience in transportation, logistics or warehousing.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent stakeholder skills, able to engage and align multiple stakeholders around the same objective.
- Very good formal presentation skills.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office.
- Solid understanding of the logistics industry.
- Solid mathematical skills.
- Solid awareness of accounting concepts.
- Fluency in English (C1 written and spoken)
- Results oriented with good analytical skills.
- Active listener with good communication.
- Can work globally with all levels in the business and all countries/cultures.
- Positive, confident personality.
- Desire to learn.
- Able to simplify complex concepts into simple drawings or summaries to communicate them to a non-technical audience.
