Senior Product Manager, Digital Factory of Ground & Rail

Location: Emblem, La Défense (Paris)
Reports to: Head of Digital Factory
Team: Digital Factory of Ground & Rail, Product

About the team

The Digital Factory of Ground & Rail is CEVA's product and technology team for digital forwarding and group innovation projects. Born from Chronotruck, a start-up acquired by Gefco and then CEVA, it has kept a genuine product culture and start-up DNA inside a large group. Around twenty people strong, structured into three streams (Engineering, Data and Product) and combining internal and external talent, we work with agile methods and are strongly data-centric, building AI, algorithm and machine-learning powered products.

Our ambition: deliver the best possible IT support to the business teams, backed by a deep understanding of end users and a rigorous, product-led way of working.

Product portfolio (currently 5 to 6 products, expected to grow): CEVA Spot Module, Zephyr, Adapt, Forecast, Customer Billing, Chronotruck ecosystem.

The Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to take ownership of the Product stream. You will pilot the product roadmap across the portfolio, lead the product team, and act as the central link between the business and end users, making sure we build the right things, well, and that they genuinely land with the people who use them.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role at the heart of the team: you are the facilitator who spots the gaps and steps into them, rather than waiting to be told where the fire is.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the product roadmap: Engage with business owners and stakeholders to understand their needs, translate them into an actionable roadmap that reflects both the business vision and real user needs, and prioritize with stakeholders in close coordination with the Head of Digital Factory.

  • Product design and quality: Stay involved day to day in the design and quality of the products, contributing to product conception and UX best practices, as user experience is part of our team's DNA.

  • User adoption and usage: Keep the team close to its users through feedback, user interviews and usage tracking, carry their voice into prioritization, and define the KPIs that steer the products, acting as a proactive partner who brings forward proposals rather than only delivering on request.

  • Team management: Directly manage a Product Owner and a UX/UI Designer (people management and operational leadership, with potential coordination of external product owners), inspiring and bringing the team together day to day.

Requirements

Experience / Profile

  • Experience leading a product team, directly managing product owners and/or designers, and comfortable running several products in parallel across a portfolio.
  • Product management background in B2B SaaS, with a good understanding of the group's business and operations.

Hard Skills

  • Solid product craft: roadmap and backlog management, facilitation, product discovery (user interviews, framing the problem before the solution), and a test-and-learn mindset (experimentation, A/B testing, data-driven iteration).
  • A strong feel for UX/UI and product design, and comfort working hand in hand with design, since you will manage a UX/UI Designer.
  • Comfort using data to inform decisions: KPIs, analytics and BI tools (Metabase, basic SQL a plus).
  • Fluency with agile methods and product tools (Jira, Shortcut, Figma or equivalent), plus progressive ownership of the budget side of your projects.
  • French, required: Working in French is essential for the role and to stay close to the team.
  • English, must-have: Business-fluent and able to work comfortably in English (demos, business owners and end users who work in English). Full bilingualism is not required.

Soft Skills

  • A natural facilitator: dynamic, communicative and engaging, with a unifying personality that energises and motivates the team.
  • Comfortable speaking your mind with diplomacy: able to raise difficult topics, flag delays and challenge prioritisation with stakeholders, and to carry a product vision through with character but without imposing it.
  • Strong ownership: proactive, autonomous, organised and rigorous, standing in front of your team rather than behind it and spotting where you can help without being asked.
  • Able to adapt your communication and level of detail to very different audiences, from a business owner managing a large budget to an end user with a specific problem.
  • Genuine interest in AI and applied product innovation.

As a global organization, and as part of the CMA CGM Group, diversity is critical to our business success; only when we can reflect the cultures, languages, behaviors and local knowledge of our customers, we can succeed. By employing people with different experiences and abilities, we expand our knowledge and increase our creativity and innovation.

Please note:  Legitimate CEVA Logistics recruitment processes include communication with candidates through recognized professional networks, such as LinkedIn or via an official company email address: firstname.lastname@cevalogistics.com. We recommend that you do not respond to unsolicited business propositions and/or offers from people with whom you are unfamiliar.
