YOUR ROLE

Responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of accounting policies, and procedures within the CEVA Shared Services Center, from both functional and technical perspectives. The role ensures compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements while driving operational efficiency and process excellence.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

1. Manage accounting operations, daily cash flow activities, control systems, transaction processing functions, and related policies and procedures.
2. Ensure revenues and expenses are accurately recorded and properly allocated to the appropriate business units and cost centers.
3. Oversee the timely completion of periodic balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that reconciling items are thoroughly investigated, resolved, and free from aged items exceeding 90 days.
4. Maintain and manage the Chart of Accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial reporting.
5. Establish and maintain effective internal controls over accounting transactions, including proper segregation of duties and compliance with internal control policies.
6. Ensure the timely, accurate recording, preparation, and submission of financial reports, statutory returns, and management summaries.
7. Lead the preparation of weekly cash flow forecasts and annual budgets, continuously refining assumptions and projections to support business planning.
8. Monitor expenses against approved budgets and implement corrective actions to address significant variances.
9. Coordinate with external auditors (KPMG) and internal auditors by providing required information, communicating audit findings to management, and ensuring timely implementation of corrective action
10. Responsible for the preparation of annual financial statements and ensuring timely compliance with all annual reporting and submission requirements to BIR, SEC, PEZA, and other regulatory bodies.
11. Maintain in-depth knowledge of Philippine tax laws and regulations, ensuring full compliance with BIR, PEZA, SEC, LGU, and other statutory and regulatory reporting requirements, including timely filing and payment obligations.
12. Gather, consolidate, and analyze financial and operational data from various departments to support strategic reviews, business planning, and performance evaluations.
13. Prepare comprehensive financial reports, analyses, and presentations for management, providing insights that support informed decision-making.
14. Ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement of accounting processes while maintaining compliance with accounting standards, reporting requirements, and company policies.
15. Oversee payroll-related accounting entries and ensure accurate reconciliation between payroll registers and general ledger accounts.
16. Continuously assess operational performance and identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiencies.
17. Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure business requirements and expectations are effectively addressed.
18. Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support for business improvement initiatives, projects, and management requests.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

• Degree/ Masters in Finance/ B.S. Accountancy from a Recognized University
• Exposure to tax and statutory requirements with the Philippine Government
• Proficiency in Accounting and Auditing Principles
• Working knowledge of JD Edwards Hyperion, OneStream and other finance specific IT systems
• Analytical and Technical Knowledge–able to analyse large volume of data and clearly communicate findings
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision, make suggestions on best practice and improving current processes and procedures.
• Strong management and interpersonal skills, able to develop productive internal working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
