Assistant Warehouse Supervisor (Inbound / Expedition)

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for an Assistant Warehouse Supervisor for our Warehouse in Amsterdam. In this role, you’ll coordinate a team of about 5-10 warehouse operators. You ensure efficient staffing and keep the workspace organized and clean. Applying LEAN principles, you’ll monitor team productivity, guide employees in their daily work and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. You’re proactive about addressing issues and provide input on planning and assessments. When the supervisor is absent, you step in to take over their responsibilities.

WHERE WILL YOU WORK?

As an Assistant Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll manage a team of 5-10 people daily and collaborate with the other (Assistant) Supervisors. Your location is Zaandam, where we serve various industrial customers, with a focus on spare parts business. You’ll prepare reports, organize team tasks, ensure process adherence, staying calm under pressure to communicate effectively with your supervisor.

The standard working hours are from 08:00 – 17:00, with a weekend shift (on call) planned once a month. During peak times (usually at the end of each quarter), flexibility is essential as overtime may be needed.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You are someone with a natural leadership ability. You have the focus on quality, and you can easily familiarize yourself with processes and working methods. In addition, you come up with initiatives that we can use for improvements

You also bring the following knowledge and experience with you:

• MBO-level working and thinking skills;
• Experience managing teams in logistics
• Strong interpersonal skills to lead and motivate a team
• Analytical skills, with comfort working in Excel
• Proactive attitude and ready to take initiative about the current process
• Good English skills, spoken and written
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• A gross monthly salary between € 2.820 and € 3.621 plus 8% holiday pay (classification depending on, among other things, your work experience and level of education);
