Customer Service Officer

CMA CGM Belgium, based in Antwerp, is looking for a Cargo Readiness officer to strengthen the team

Jobdescription

-Strive for optimal vessel fill rate by acting in continuous consultation with the cargoflow teams, operations, sales and customer service departments.

-Sent optimal pre-cleaning of thecargo list by operations, with the aim of obtaining a minimum shortfall.

-Identify risks that might occur, assess and anticipate the possible consequences.

-Reporting on a regular basis to the cargo flow teams in HO about the booking situation and follow-up of delivered cargo.-Inform customer service teams at regular intervals about irregularities with regard to OOG (difference booking and terminal info)/failing VGM/cntr not on quay/ imo ... etc.

-Follow up in case of overbooking, for Antwerp in consultation with local sales department.

-Checking for misconnections for transshipment cargo, making timely adjustments and following up on barge planning.

-Contact with ILS, inquiring about the timely availability of containers in carrier haulage.

-Direct contactwith customers, in order to obtain last minute information and to anticipate possible late arrivals.

-Collecting the dangerous goods notifications and checking whether these are correct and correspond to the information in Lara.

 

Your profile

•You hold a bachelor's or master's degree or have similar experience.

•General knowledge of the maritime sector is a plus.

•You have an active knowledge of English. French is a surplus. •You are administratively strong and accurate.

•You have a proactive attitude and can set the necessary priorities.

•You have a smooth communication with internal and external partners.

•You are customer focused and result driven

•You have decision quality and problem-solving skills

•You have strong negotiation skills and can close sales
