General Manager CCIS Beira


CCIS (CMA CGM Inland Services) is a subsidiary of the CMA CGM Group, dedicated to the development of land transport solutions.
It offers complete and integrated logistics solutions with high added value, adapted to the specific needs of its customers throughout their supply chain: storage, picking, kitting, processing of packaged goods, post-manufacturing and loading and unloading.





Reporting into the CMA CGM Agency General Manager, and CCIS HO General Management, your main mission is to manage and develop the Logistic Platform of CCIS, and develop its activities in Beira, Mozambique.

Locally, you defend and represent CMA CGM Group’s interests and corporate image near local institutions and administrations.




  1. Manage CCIS Beira Logistics Platform and develop its activities
  • Lead the CCIS Beira activities (development, legal formalities, HR, finance, operations, SSE)
  • Establish and maintain a good relationship with main stakeholders of our activities
  • Management team of CMA CGM Agency and Board of Directors, CCIS Head Office in Marseille (HO)
  • Key Clients and vendors
  • External stakeholders (General Manager of Customs, Port Authorities etc.)
  • Understand legal environment and procedures of Port and Customs formalities for cargo flows, in transit between Lagos and hinterland countries
  • Ensure implantation and development of relevant tools for a safe management of our activities (Operating System, financial management, Standard Operating Procedures, control etc.) while maintaining a first-class service level to our customer base
  • Upgrade the Logistics Platform, its activities and equipment to CCIS SSE standards, in close cooperation with HO SSE department
  • Understand political and economic environment of the country and region, identify opportunities and development perspectives in the country and the region
  • Ensure local teams training and growth
  • Ensure the commercial development of the platform depending on the Budget objectives
  • Ensure proper operational and financial management of the platform and cascade clear and concrete Performance Indicators to the teams – lead the teams and assess periodically their performance vs the objectives
  • Ensure compliance of the team with rules and procedures as set out by HO
  • Prepare and apply the Annual Budget, once validated by the HO
  • Prepare and report activities and performance periodically to HO


  1. Lead the extension and development Projects, in close cooperation with HO project team
  • Prepare a clear and realistic Business Plan for the extension and development projects on the targeted land, based on potential volume metrics, market opportunities and market price levels
  • Prepare and submit Response to Tenders
  • Assess, validate and trigger the investments related to the new projects, in close cooperation with CCIS Head Office and CMA CGM Agency Management
  • Redact and issue tenders for the necessary works on the targeted lands, the purchase of equipment, key sub-contracted activities etc.
  • Prepare and ensure the roll out of an Action Plan for the implementation of the projects, always in compliance with the Group’s  SSE standards  
  • Deliver the objectives and figures as defined by the Business Plan




  • Master 2 in Business administration, sales, or Logistics – with knowledge of financial basics
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Maritime, forwarding and/or logistics industry, if possible in Africa
  • Fluent in professional English and Portuguese
  • Well organized, dynamic, independent, with solid managerial skills and entrepreneurship spirit. Have a strategical vision and strong commercial capabilities
  • Strong ability for adaptation, leadership, relational and communication qualities, team spirit
  • Ability to work under pressure in a difficult environment
  • Strong and conflict solving and negotiation skills
