Quality and Process Manager (w/m/d)

For our office in Hamburg we are recruiting a: Quality and Process Manager (f/m/d)



Short Description: 


  • Facilitate change management in the Cluster
  • Ensure quality of service 
  • Ensure Cluster processes are in line with core model and process execution/ documentation are in accordance to corporate quality standards/methods 
  • Monitor KPIs and inform stakeholders with suggestions for improvement actions
  • Inform Regional Business Transformation Managers of processes and improvement actions
  • Responsible for compliance matters such as AEO, data protection, quality certificates and assessments 
  • Follow up on internal and external audits


Your responsibilities:


  • Support agency management and departments with changes and transformations (Core Model Implementation / Carrier and Brand Integration / Cluster Setup / Outsourcing / Lisa Deployment, etc.)
  • Ensuring corporate instructions, policies, standards, such as Agency Core Model are implemented and compliant
  • Monitoring cluster KPIs & performances with the help of analytics
  • Identifying improvements, best practices and tips and coordinate follow up with respective functional departments and head office
  • Assist corporate Risk Owners and act as Risk Correspondent in identifying and analyzing risks and incidents and ensure action plans are implemented
  • Assist with local action plans to improve processes and increase customer satisfaction
  • Review all cluster processes in accordance to ISO and corporate quality standards on a regular basis
  • Promote the lean approach in the Cluster
  • Supervise local EDI Manager and strategic developments in coordination with Headquarters and Regional EDI team. 
  • Ensure all required access to relevant tools, group instructions, processes and guidance; responsible for Identity and Access Management
  • Identify training needs for Cluster staff in coordination with functional heads
  • Continuous communication/follow up with Business Transformation Managers with the goal of productivity and quality improvement (gap analysis, specific improvement plan, etc.)
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing for new functionalities of systems and tools 
  • Assist in the definition, implementation and annual review of the local business continuity plan
  • Acting as consultant in the implementation of future business processes
  • Act as Data Protection Coordinator and being responsible for monitoring and coordination of all data protection requirements/inquiries as per GDPR
  • Point of contact for compliance inquiries related to AEO, ISO, ISM, customs processes, supply chain, and audits
  • Responsible for development and implementation of QPM functionalities and standards


You bring aboard:


  • At least 5 years of experience in the shipping industry 
  • Ideally a successfully completed education, preferably in the field of shipping and logistics and/or a degree in a related field
  • Fluent in English and German 
  • Know how about customs and data protection processes required
  • Very good knowledge of project and change management 
  • Preferably certified quality management 
  • Cross-business expertise in liner and agency services
  • Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment 
  • High degree of independence
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to design processes
  • Good analytical skills and affinity for numbers
  • Good organizational and planning skills
