Project manager - Safety development (M/F)

The Role : 

 

The CMA CGM Deputy Training Executive Officer supports CMA CGM Maritime advisor for the implementation, assessment, maintenance & continuous improvement of the Safety Improvement Plan of CMA CGM. This role requires a proven track record of leading projects with a view to increase efficiency of organizations. 
The CMA CGM Deputy Training Executive synchronizes training needs between Marine Super Intendents (MSI), Marine Security Officers (MSO), external experts and ship's activities.
The mission is to ensure that an efficient safety culture is implemented on board owned vessels of the group thus leading to safe operations and continuously improving service quality.
 

 

Responsibilities : 

 

•    Implement the Safety Improvement Plan designed for CMA CGM’s owned ships and managers involved in ships’ operations.
•    Coordinate and synchronize training needs between MSI, MSO, other company departments & third companies and institutional bodies involved with the safety plan. 
•    Review training policy and adapt it to training needs rising from identified gaps.
•    Set up – in conjunction with Marine department – owned vessels’ training program considering ships’ commercial activities to meet the training objectives of the plan.
•    Centralize data arising from different departments (CMA Ships, QSSE) and ensure safety actions follow-up.
•    Reinforce root cause and risk assessment analysis, documentation archiving, action plans follow-up and global monitoring in support of Quality and Standards Department.
•    Establish relevant metrics (KPIs, KRIs) in support of the Safety Improvement Plan and report to the top management, the director of Assets and Operations on a regular basis
 

•    Monitor the setting-up of the Safety Improvement Plan to ensure its effective and timely implementation 
•    Analyze ships’ operations to evaluate safety performance of our vessels & to determine areas of improvement, training needs, procedures or policy change. Modify Safety Improvement Plan accordingly.
•    Confer with CMA Ships & QSSE officials or staff members to discuss issues, coordinate activities, or resolve problems.
•    Propose corrective action plans to solve organizational & procedural problems or training gaps.
•    Analyze incidents & accidents reports issued by QSSE and propose corrective training actions.
•    Closely work with CMA Ships & CMA CGM Communication Department for writing articles or presenting information to foster CMA CGM safety messages/ideas/objectives
 

 

Profile and qualifications : 

 

  • Master's degree in engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in managing project
  • Experience in a martime domain / Oil&gas is a plus
  • Experience with training & education programs is a plus
  • Ability to travel as often as needed
