Intermodal Procurement Manager (M/F)

The Role :

Within the Intermodal Department, the Intermodal Procurement  Manager leads and coordinates the procurement activity under his scope (railway operations, trucking…) of responsibility. It guarantees SQCD results (CSR, Quality, Cost, Delay) on a global level. 



Responsibilities : 


As a global intermodal purchasing referent, your commitments are :

Procurement strategy:
-    Participate in determining the procurement strategies and the cost reduction plan by driving the relationship with suppliers and implementing continuous improvement plan to optimize our costs
-    Support and animate the annual negotiation with local and regional buyers around the world.
-    Active participation in negotiations with some strategic suppliers led by Head Office and in coordination with local/regional buyers

Process and methodology:
-    Participate in the rationalization, securization and industrialization of processes, methods and tools (SRM...) with the objective to improve overall performance
-    Animate the network of local and regional buyers in regards to these processes
-    Ensure suppliers are qualified in accordance with the values of the CMA CGM group

Reporting:
-    Ensure the right scheduling of periodic negotiations and the prospects for cost evolution by area and mode of transport
-    Follow-up of the consistency between the contract terms and the operational activity

 

 

Profile and competencies :


-    You have a master’s degree specialized in purchasing
-    You have 10 years of experience in purchasing functions, ideally in the field of transport
You have a first experience of managing people 
-    Fluent in French and English
-    Proficient usage of MS Office tools to ensure quality reporting 
-    Strong Interpersonal and communication skills
-    Your leadership and communications skills will allow you to develop strong relationships with all the stakeholders
-    Good management of priorities, high level of reactivity
