Project Manager Terminal Partnering

Operations Direction is a transverse operational organization with various monitoring and advisory responsibilities on all operational challenges within CMA CGM Group.

Within this organization Ports & Terminals Operations department is entrusted with the main task of providing the best operational conditions for CMA CGM vessels in ports by following their performances in all worldwide container terminals.

This department is also in charge of a joint improvement program, called Lean Terminal Partnering, in order to establish a win-win terminal-carrier partnership to achieve reduction in vessel port stay time and improvement of terminal performances.




Under the responsibility of the Ports & Operations Manager, within the Lean Terminal Partnering team, the responsibilities of this job include:

  • Deployment of the LTP methodology on site
  • Facilitation of workshops and interviews with key stakeholders/management
  • Diagnosis of pain points, their root causes and potential solutions
  • In charge of overall roadmap implementation
  • Coordination of work between projects contributors
  • Directly in charge of some projects implementation when needed
  • Formalization of roadmap progress report to HO
  • Perform various Operational studies for the group operation direction



Experienced Port Operations Manager, Ship Manager or Line Operations Manager.

Recommended qualifications :

  • Strong knowledge of container terminal operations and shipping line operational constraints
  • Fully autonomous
  • Able to analyze and evaluate complex interactions
  • Analytical Skills
  • Neutral discussion facilitator
  • Rigorous, convincing argumentation
  • Team spirit
  • Familiar with Qliksense/Qlikview, & Microsoft tools including Excel and Word
  • Fluent in English
