Key Account Manager - Project and Special Cargo (M/F)

  • You will have to follow up and develop a customer portfolio of Project Cargo key Accounts.
  • You will be responsible for driving market penetration in a particular area in reference to the customer portfolio.
  • You will be close to the decision-making, and expect to share your ideas and innovation in order to further develop our business and organization.





  • First of all, you will be responsible for establishing, maintaining and expanding a customer portfolio of project cargo key accounts, and drive the market sizing and market segmentation.
  • You will have to build a strong relationship with the decision-makers and negotiators of project customers, which will enable you to ensure and supervise the sale efficiency of CMA CGM project cargo services (Out of Gauge & Breakbulk),and to enhance customer loyalty.
  • You will have to play an integral role in the development and implementation of commercial and sales strategies and associated action plans to drive business growth geographically, on a regional/global level, and expand client portfolio, in line with the sales targets and budgets set with the commercials and Lines.
  • You coordinate and negotiate commercial agreements with project key accounts, especially in the case of multiline activities.
  • You track projects from beginning to end, maintaing personal contact with clients through every steps of the realization (budget, technical advise, commercial proposal, closing).
  • Also, you will monitor the performance of Project Cargo teams in agencies and regional offices in connection with your client portfolio (Key account and small/medium size customers).
  • Finally, you will have to draw up the sales annual budget for these clients, ensure accurate compilation and reporting of customer’s performances, conduct customer visits (including traveling abroad, attending fairs) and presentations, details performances and project proposals.




  • You have a postgraduate degree (4/ 5 years) in International Trade and a 5-years experience in Project Cargo Sales, operations , forwarding or any related projet cargo activity.
  • Perfectly fluent in English, both written and spoken, you have strong interpersonal skills. You are known from your good negotiations skills , have good communication skills , well served in IT and Office tools (especially in advanced Excel, Reporting tool BI).
  • You like to challenged and to analyse performance figures , set budgets and define a sales strategy and set sales performance Kpis.
  • You are a team player, but can also carry out assignments independently, you like to negotiate and to deliver results, you can work in a structured and organized way, but also keep an innovative mind.
  • An in-depth knowledge and appreciation the project cargo market and environment is mandatory.
