QSSE Inland Transport & Dangerous Goods Expert (M/F)

THE MISSION :

 

Within the QSSE Terminals & Inland Department, your missions are the following:
-    Developing QSSE standards for land transport activities by the 3 modes: road, rail and barge to ensure they are carried out to the best industry standards and to guarantee a permanent and reliable level of regulatory compliance
-    Developing QSSE standards for the storage of dangerous goods in our terminals, CFS and Dry Ports as well as for the transport of dangerous goods by road, rail and inland waterway and ensure their application within the different companies operated by the group
-    Acting as a safety advisor in accordance with the regulations for the terminals and land transport companies concerned.

 


RESPONSIBILITIES :

 

-    Implement a common safety culture within the land transport subsidiaries
-    Develop coordination on the Dangerous Goods part of land transport within the companies themselves and handled and/or stored in port terminals, depots, warehouses, under QSSE coordination
-    Create and lead the network of QSSE Advisors identified within each unit through various means : seminars, webinars, e-learning, periodic reports, and use of corporate tools
-    Build and deploy training on transport and dangerous goods risks to the staff of the terminals and transport companies concerned
-    In charge of the risk mapping of the land transport and dangerous goods business (shore), to ensure a risk assessment approach in line with the group standards
-    Develop standards and provide support for handling / storage and implementation of rules to be applied within depots and terminals based on the study of goods and location (Seveso, ICPE, PPRT, etc.) for implementation in operational processes (TOS or equivalent)
-    Develop procedures within the framework of the Group's QSSE IT Guidelines, applicable ISO standards and their updating
-    Take responsibility for advising the French terminals and transport companies on safety issues: audits, training, follow-up of action plans, and drawing up annual reports
-    Challenge the different companies through the established QSSE action plans: audits, survey, regulatory compliance assessment, etc.
-    Planning and carrying out audits, training and support missions for transport companies within the scope and specific missions concerning the "dangerous goods" section
-    Organise the regulatory monitoring of the activity as well as the regulatory compliance diagnosis for each unit, including when applicable: ADR, RID and ADN
-    Organise the implementation of the reporting and analysis process for dangerous situations, near misses and incidents using the group method and tools (Tin@)
-    Provide QHSE support and advice to the various units and to the company
-    Take responsibility for specific projects at the request of the QSSE department
-    Participate in the crisis unit if required as part of the group's Crisis Management Plan, as well as on call on the emergency lines if required.

 


PROFILE AND COMPETENCIES :

 

-    HSE training (Bac+5)
-    At least 5 years experience in the logistics sector and/or industrial environment and/or transport of goods
-    Knowledge of the transport code, SST, TMD, and environment. Experience as a safety consultant is a plus
-    International mobility for on-site assignments (several weeks per year)
-    Independent, agile, team player, familiar with digital tools, open to international and different cultures, motivated, innovative and curious are the essential qualities for this position
-    Fluent English, Spanish is a plus
-    Mastery of digital tools
