Sustainability Manager - Shipping Impact (ocean and biodiversity) (M/F)

Within the CSR Department, you will be part of the "Planet" pillar in charge of implementing and coordinating the Group's policy on climate change and environmental issues on a global scale.   

The Group's CSR challenges and objectives are ambitious and have a global impact. Your role will be essential in helping to define and structure our net zero 2050 approach.  

You will work in close collaboration with several other departments of the Group, including the Energy department, the R&D department and the operational departments (Vessel fleet, terminals, data, IT, etc.). 




  • You will manage/lead the climate unit and report to the Central CSR Director. 
  • You will be a driving force behind the Group's net zero carbon approach within the Group's various entities and subsidiaries  
  • You will be in charge of studies on the impact of regulations and current issues related to climate change: net zero carbon objective, alternative energies (LCA), CO2 quotas, internal carbon prices, etc.  
  • You will be responsible for the preparation of emissions reports (GHG and pollutants) at Group level and will be in charge of the environmental/GHG parts of the reports required by our various stakeholders such as DPEF, CDP, ECOVADIS. 
  • You drive innovation in climate transition and are a driving force for the development of CSR recommendations on decarbonisation levers.  
  • You produce benchmarks / monitoring (sector, clients) and analyses of energy transition technologies for the Group's activities as well as the positions of our stakeholders. 
  • Your team integrates maritime regulatory affairs in charge of monitoring and identifying the operational and business impacts of environmental regulations, and you contribute to the development of Group positions relayed to stakeholders and to lobbying actions. 
  • You will be the Group's representative in the environmental bodies of professional organisations (IMO, WSC, ECSA, ADF, etc.) and you will represent the Group at climate, CSR and environmental events. 




  • Sound experience acquired within a large international group or a shipping company - 10-15 years. 
  • Engineering background with specialisation in environment or merchant marine officer; knowledge of maritime regulations would be a plus.  
  • Significant experience in project management, particularly on environmental issues. 
  • Fluency in written and spoken English. 
  • Good writing and oral presentation skills for a high-profile position.  
  • Ability to federate and autonomy. 
  • Good interpersonal skills to manage a team of 6 people in a dynamic, motivated and influential cross-functional group.
