THE ROLE
The Career Development Manager is a newly created role within the Group Talent Management team. The selected candidate will design, implement, and promote the career development programs for specific groups of employees. The Career Development Manager will support HR Business Partners in creating and maintaining Talent pools as well as articulating the best career paths possible for employees, with a strong focus on people development.
Ultimately the goal of the role is to provide long term vision to people in terms of career development, while properly equipping managers and HRBPs in interacting with employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designs, develops and leads the implementation of the career development strategy
- Connects the career development strategy with the business goals and existing development tools
- Leads strategic organization wide projects focused on the career development of high potentials and early career leaders
- Sets the basic schedule of career development activities during the year
- Leverage different existing development programs such as leadership programs, coaching, mentoring, for specific groups of employees and talents
- Work in close partnership with people on the team in charge of Talent Cycle (People Reviews, Succession planning, Performance Management)
- Work in close partnership with people on the team in charge of Talent Leadership Development – Leadership Programs and Individual development options such as coaching, mentoring, assessments
- Promotes career development to internal and external audience by working in close partnership with internal key stakeholders such as the Communication, Talent Acquisition, HRBPs teams
- Regularly assess own programs and actions and adjust plan as necessary
- Acts as the influencing member of the Talent Management Team
PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS :
SKILLS
- Minimum 5 years of Talent Consulting experience in international organizations, with a preferable focus on Career Development
- Outstanding project and process management skills with a demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality results in a complex, dynamic business environment
- Demonstrate ability to partner effectively with all aspects of HRs
- Experience supporting and influencing HR teams senior business leaders
- Strong ability to think strategically, influence decision making and be able to build and maintain effective relationships in and outside the area of responsibility
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, written and verbal, to all levels of the organization
- Ability to set up and use data as a strategic tool to measure, report and continuously adapt programs
- Show initiatives, be flexible and adaptable to business demands
QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree required. Advanced degree in human resources, business, or related field preferred
- Aptitude for standard software applications (e.g., MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and talent management systems and tools
- Fluent English language / verbal and written
