UX Researcher - E-commerce Digital Solutions (M/F)

CMA CGM, a global player in shipping and logistics, wishes to strengthen its UX team to support its user and data centric approach integrated in the digital experience it offers to all its users.

Within the eCommerce department of the Digital Pole, we are looking for a UX Researcher whose role will be to identify the needs and uses of CMA CGM website users in order to offer a personalized customer experience adapted to their needs.

The UX Researcher's role will be to:
- Collecting, interpreting and analyzing user behavior on CMA CGM sites through UX methodologies adapted to the objectives set
- Establish relevant UX recommendations based on user research
- Work in collaboration with the Product Owner, Designer, Data Analyst and IT to ensure an optimal digital experience and to develop the UX culture within CMA CGM




Within the eCommerce department and under the responsibility of the UX Manager, the UX Researcher's main missions will be to carry out methodical investigations of users and their needs through adapted UX techniques, tools and methods in order to identify convincing insights, to discover problems and to arrive at recommendations that will facilitate the design process In this perspective, the UX Researcher will intervene on :


The exploratory phase 
- User research by working with the Product Owner to define the business objectives and translate them into user objectives
- The definition of the research methodology to be deployed according to the user objectives
- Designing the overall research strategy and its implementation
- Development of the research plan including the identified research objectives
- Drafting of the elements related to the applied methodology (questionnaires, interview guide, interview protocol, survey...)
- Recruiting users for tactical research studies (user test, interviews)


Data collection and analysis 

- Centralization of information from users through qualitative and quantitative methods 
- Analysis of data to determine UX insights and opportunities
- Translation of the acquired user knowledge into concrete UX recommendations for the Product Owner 
- Creation of Personae and Experience maps based on the data to communicate ideas to the design team and Product Owner


Prototyping & Monitoring
- Drafting of recommendations based on insights 
- Facilitation and recommendation of design workshops with the Product Owner and Desginer to determine the elements of the prototypes 
- Coaching designers to help develop prototypes
- Creation of user test protocols 
- Deployment and management of User Tests 
- Optimization of the prototypes after user testing 


Technological Environment : 

- User research methodologies
- Web traffic analysis tools (Google Analytics, Matomo..)
- UX Analysis tools (Contentsquare)
- User testing tools (Maze)
- Mock-up / wireframing tools (Figma)
- Project Management tools (Jira, Confluence)



- General Skills: 
o Strong capacity of analysis and synthesis allowing to quickly apprehend the strategy of the client company, its organization, its trades and its stakes.
o Ability to anticipate the risks of a situation and strong spirit of proposal.
o Ability to argue its proposals/studies in order to convince and create support.
o Good listening and communication skills, with all levels of interlocutors
o Fluency in English.

o Knowledge of digital marketing
o Knowledge of design principles and user ergonomics
o Mastery of mock-up tools
