About the Role: 
 

This opportunity is a full-time 12-month fixed term contract.
Reporting to the Managing Director of Oceania Agencies, the role is to undertake the CCGAA Graduate program to gain a working knowledge of the various departments within CCGAA through various rotations, provide analytical and administrative support to the various departments with the incorporation of knowledge gained from other areas within the business, assist with special projects, and provide additional assistance to ease critical workload.

 

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

 

  • Efficiently handle all enquiries from a group of designated clients, thereby ensuring their requirements are satisfied where possible.
  • Work closely with Sales/Marketing staff and provide effective and proactive sales and administrative support.
  • To learn about equipment availability to meet the forecasted export demand in each port.
  • To understand the difficulty and dangers associated with hazardous, break bulk, over dimensional and awkward cargoes. 
  • Assist the Intermodal Manager in implementing an intermodal strategy and provide support in reporting
  • Assist the VAS/Reefer Manager in the implementation of a value added services and reefer strategy in conjunction with the CCGAA Commercial strategy
  • Work closely with the QPM and BPM to ensure service quality to group customers are up to set standards
  • To become proficient with the in-house systems and perform the functions assigned in an efficient manner.
  • Work on special projects as required


To be successful for this role, you will need:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant business discipline. 
  • Strong computer skills and operational knowledge with ability to pick up new systems
  • Demonstrated experience in contributing to assigned projects
  • Proven experience in improving efficiency and ability to solve problems and offer innovative solutions
  • Resourceful and flexible with strong capabilities to prioritise, optimise and perform in a high-paced environment. 
  • Passion and drive to excel with customer oriented approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Sound conceptual and analytical skills
  • Good organisational skills and mature methodical approach to tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail.
