About the Role: 

Reporting to the Cargo Management Supervisor, this role is to provide effective cargo support services and to ensure all containers / Cargo are smoothly loaded, discharged and transshipped, 
whilst adhering to the standard procedures and requirements of the industry.

The role and responsibilities will include:


  • Monitor, follow up and reporting of cold treatment reefer shipment activities <between CT team and masters, partners>
  • Monitor, coordinate and resolve disputes and cargo claims and respond/escalate to <the relevant team> RFIs
  • Transshipment coordination - sourcing the discharge list, determining which containers require transshipment and identify the best connecting service/vessel or mode of transport for movement to the final destination
  • Producing Booking Forecasts, Dangerous Goods, Out of Gauge, Breakbulk and Reefer
  • Checking the stevedoring invoices as directed by the Manager, Ships & Terminals. Coordination with respective shared centers, lines, terminals and services providers for any disputes 
  • Vessel scheduling information - send the long-range schedule to CMA CGM Australia staff members and external parties on a daily / weekly basis. Send the CMA CGM service daily schedule update to CMA staff in Australia and Head office
  • Liaise with CT team, terminals, customer care team, shippers, stevedores,  vessel operators with related to the Cold treatment reefers
  • Attending to cargo claims enquiries and do necessary coordination with respective lines, masters, shared centers, customers, surveyors. To store, record and analyse as required temperature recording charts or other devices and assist with cargo damage claims as necessary

To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • Tertiary qualifications in business, International Business, Supply chain/Logistics or a related discipline
  • LARA / LISA experience preferred
  • Previous experience in reefer container management and handling dangerous goods would be beneficial
  • Previous experience in handling break bulk and project cargos preferred
  • MS office applications / Computer literate with the ability to pick up systems quickly
  • Basic to intermediate MS Excel skills
  • Strong organisational and administration skills
  • Good negotiation skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of people
  • Ability to work independently and of a team when required
