About the Role:

 

An incredible opportunity has become available in Melbourne for an established Sales Leader to continue to drive and develop the business and their own career. Reporting to the Deputy Sales Director, the VIC State Manager will be responsible for the effective implementation of services offered to clients while achieving predetermined targets and budgets for the Victoria regional office of CMA CGM and ANL.

 

In addition, this position will also be responsible to –

•Manage, motivate, lead and drive a dynamic VIC sales team
•Proactively develop regional sales strategies in conjunction with the Sales Director and the Deputy Sales Director.
•Identify, secure and develop new and existing business, including Value Added Services.
•Maintain customer service levels to ensure they exceed customer expectations.
•Monitor, analyse and report on all competitor activities for CMA CGM and ANL services.
•Represent CMA CGM and ANL in order to uphold CMA CGM as a preferred shipping line in the market place.


You will be passionate about driving sales, your people and our customers, and will relish the opportunity to lead by example from the ground up. You will possess:

•    Significant experience in a sales-driven leadership role (minimum 5 years) within shipping, transport or logistics
•    A track record in driving and lifting organisational performance through effective leadership
•    Sharp commercial acumen, with the ability to consistently deliver positive outcomes
•    Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills 
•    Well-developed organisational, procurement and project management skills with the capacity to assume responsibility and deliver complex, detail oriented and time-constrained work to a high standard and on time
•    Ability to innovate and drive change in the organisation and work with people of varying backgrounds and organisational levels
•    Australian citizenship or permanent residence
