Risk Manager 


Role and responsibility


The Risk Manager primary responsibility includes driving all aspects of complex cross functional projects and programs aligned to industry leading PM practices

The Risk Manager must be comfortable building action plans from strategic requirements, challenging stakeholders on risk, plans and strategy, and adding value as an engaged member of the team.

The capacity to manage project managers, SMEs and external consultant mates is expected.

Interaction with worldwide project teams on regular basis is expected.



General Responsibilities


•            Lead the successful & timely completion of programs to achieve CMA CGM security goals, including the identification and mitigation of risks that may impact successful program delivery

•            Act as Risk Manager for fast paced programs and continuously ensure their alignment to change and transformation goals

•            Decision change and strategy of a program in collaboration with senior sponsors.

•            Build strong relationships with the sponsors and the program stakeholders

•            Build strong plans with appropriate level of detail to provide adequate transparency to all stakeholders

•            Show leadership abilities to drive the project teams, the experts and the operational people involved in the project

•            Lead an active Risk Management process

•            Manage capacity and program alignment cooperatively across the portfolio

•            Independently assess progress and risk and communicate clearly to all stakeholders (including Senior Management) on a timely basis

•            Facilitate, coordinate, and arbitrate cross-functional conversations about progress, risk and strategy with all key stakeholders (often including Senior Management)

•            Employ program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery; leverage these across the organization

•            Maintain weekly and monthly operating reports

•            Owner of the Business Case of their program and their execution / realization.








•            Experience managing team

•            Exemplary written and oral communication skills

•            Managerial skills leadership

•            Demonstrated ability to independently lead programs

•            Capacity to accompany the change

•            Capacity to organize and manage project teams to reach objectives

•            Ability to evaluate complex systems

•            Strong analytical skills and ability to convey results of analysis

•            Excellent problem-solving skills

•            Ability to work independently and use judgment to assure all issues and concerns are managed properly and in a timely fashion

•            Manage suppliers through the full project lifecycle, from conception through rollout and ongoing support

•            Excellent influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills

•            Experience interfacing with Senior Management



Experience needed


•            A minimum of 10 years of experience managing complex security projects and programs

•            International experience is a plus



Educational Requirements


•            Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in project management.





•            English and French



Required Qualifications/certifications


•            PMP, Price 2, agile certification or knowledge
