Provide administrative and sales support to Account Managers and & Inside Sales representatives.

 

The Manager Sales Support oversees the administration of all Rate Agreements, Contracts, Tariff Filings and Quotations, while maintaining a high level of service to both internal and external customers.

  1. Sales Support Management
  • Guides, coaches and supports the Sales Support department
  • Monitors and measures workload of staff to ensure that best processes are in place
  • Provides training for staff on new systems, regulations and requirements
  • Makes certain that all departmental and functional training requirements are fulfilled
  • Stimulates open communication and interaction between SSP and cross functional departments that are key during daily routine
  • Follow up on action items from sales calls and activities
  • To use the intensive contact with customers to gain intelligence about their business and potential (market identification)
  • Assist sales with setting up and managing the customer allocation

  1. Quotation Management
  • Facilitate that sales quotes are build and submitted by SSP team
  • Assists with the preparation of contracts/quotes and ensures that all rates are filed correctly with FMC and/or Lara
  • Follows up on filing accuracy and pro-actively follows up on discrepancies.
  • Manage the daily workflow and NVR list
  • Stimulate and drive that quotes are being followed up by the SSP team in order to gain market knowledge on competitiveness
  • Uncompetitive rates have to be addressed to Trade Management along with business case in case adjustment has to be made

  1. CGM-CGM+ (VAS) Selling
  • Promotion of group services and non-maritime products such as e-Commerce, CMACGM+, Intermodal and CEVA cross selling

  1. Problem Solving
  • Facilitate that SSP is the first sales staff in line to coordinate issues or solve problems between customer, customer service and ILS
  • SSP to provide assistance to solve invoice disputes and root cause analysis

  1. Performance Management & Reporting
  • Ensure update of commercial data in the information system
  • Monitor and follow up on customers performance by using data analytics (missing shipper list follow up)
  • Identify customer’s volume potential and update this in Lisa MID
  • Create transparency on sales activities such as quotes and business cases presented
  • Report results, developments and sales activities on a regular basis to Director Sales

License/Certification/Qualification:

 

  • Fluent in Dutch and English, French is a preference
  • Knowledge of MS Office software, CRM software and relevant CMA-CGM systems.
  • Driver’s license
