Transport Manager - Value Added Services

Position Summary:

This position will be responsible to deliver exceptional service for CMA CGM’s customers using our differentiated products such as SPX, EXX, GET, REACH, Military and Government, Special Customer Commitments, and Private Chassis Fleet.

 

This position will be responsible to:

 

  • Individual performance measures (KPIs) required of the job that align with company goals and ensure accountability for the delivery of measurable results and clear linkage to the Performance Management Process (PMP)
  • Service – ensure that daily operations at FMS and other vendors is prepared and meeting the service goals
    • Implement and maintain service standards and improve service reliability
  • Product – Ensure that the product is well communicated and that is deliverable including special equipment requirements; chassis / reefer / etc.
    • Manage CMA CGM product demands to meet trade and commercial product standards
  • Execution – working with operations in Norfolk to ensure the day to day execution is carried out through constant review of containers in the pipeline right through to delivery
    • Ensure that all vendors and internal processes deliver thew product as designed.
  • Cost – through detailed understanding of the various cost components, deliver the product efficiently and cost effectively
    • Deliver cost saving targets.
  • Miscellaneous related duties or projects as assigned.

 

Skill Sets / Education & Experience Requirements:

 

  • College degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.
  • 10 years of operational experience at various levels and functions within the steamship line or terminal industry
