Transshipment Supervisor

 

CMA CGM Logistics is part of the group CMA CGM covering all the aspects of Supply Chain.
Present in more than 120 countries, CMA CGM Logistics CMA CGM Logistics is also the supply, receipt, storage, order preparation, customs, transport to production sites (or via platforms).

 

MISSION: Manage the East Coast South America transshipments operations providing the fastest connection possibilities aligned with the lowest costs and the most reduced idle time.

 

SCOPE OF RESPONSABILITIES:

 

Area of responsibility 1Manage the transshipment team.

  • Give directions to each team members to better perform their activities;
  • Motivate the team, stablish performance reviews and development plans;
  • Propose team members to continuously seek possibilities on routines improvement.

 Expected Results: Keep team aligned with given goals performing the department tasks on the best manner possible.

 

Area of responsibility 2Manage East Coast South America transshipment operations.

  • Manage relationships with terminal operators, local agents, ship planning team and operations teams to ensure compliance with port marine operations rules for transshipment activities;
  • Manage TS Cargo & connections (including renomination and specials & shunting) ;
  • Check that required cargo details are available for transshipment (e.g. Verified Gross Mass, hazardous approval and certification) and if information is missing, advise booking agent and POL to update information in the system;
  • Monitor and validate supplier invoices in relation with Cost Control and invoice validation teams, pursue opportunities to reduce cost based on East Coast South America Services and tariff grids configuration;
  • Handle KPI´s and reports to support local activities.

Expected Results: To perform transshipment of cargoes into first vessels available after cargo discharge at transshipment port.

 

Area of responsibility 3Manage Feeder Activities.

  • Manage relationships with cabotage and third-party feeders operators;
  • Quote rates and check services availabilities
  • Provide loading forecast, booking requests, draft of B/L;
  • Request Cargo Late Arrivals, cargo Change of destination whenever necessary.

 Expected Results: Ensure the proper loading of CMA CGM cargoes into feeder services.

 

Area of responsibility 4Interface CMA CGM worldwide network.

  • Provide information to any CMA CGM office inquiry regarding ECSA transshipment activities)

Expected Results: Keep the good tracking of transshipment information to the group network

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • DegreeDegree Required in Foreign Trade and/or Logistics
  • IT and System Requirements: Intermediary user level of Microsoft Office
  • Language: English and Portuguese (native)
  • Experience: Solid experience in Shipping, focused on operational and Line areas
