The Role: 


Reporting to our French Fleet Captain as a Crew Manager you would be in charge of some of our French seaferers to ensure the good execution of operations and change of crews. 





You shall:

  • Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations;
  • Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies;
  • Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis;
  • Ensure that all the seafarers embark with all compulsory certificates and qualifications;
  • Check the medical status of all seafarers
  • Complete seafarers’ personal details in dedicated software: qualifications, medical certificates, skills & trainings, appraisals, etc…
  • Check and scan all seafarers’ mandatory certificates, travel documents, contracts, etc. into dedicated software
  • Participate in the planning process in close cooperation with Singapore Crew Managers
  • Establish long term planning for French seafarers;
  • Briefing of seafarers prior to next contract
  • Debrief seafarers on completion of contract
  • Inform the French Fleet Captain and Marine Human Resources Director of any serious issues that may affect future contracts and fleet stability;
  • Ensure that all application forms for flag administration endorsements are completed;
  • Prepare seafarers’ contracts of employment;
  • Arrange crew travel
  • Ensure that the appointed agents contact the Travellers’ Club to arrange any accommodation required, if seafarers need local accommodation prior to boarding;
  • Ensure that applications for travel visas are completed and submitted
  • Advise and provide all required information and documentation to port agents to ensure that appropriate permits to board are issued;
  • Manage local family welfare issues keeping the Payroll and P&I Claims Officer informed;
  • Be in charge for medical repatriations for French seafarers.



Profile and Qualifications: 


  • Bachelor’s degree,
  • 3 years’ experience in maritime industry.
  • Fluent in English,
  • Good knowledge of:
    • Mandatory STCW certification requirements;
    • Flag Administration requirements;
  • Competent with various software, such as word, excel, powerpoint, etc.;
  • Good time management skills, ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines;
  • Rigor and method
