Drydock Project Manager

YOUR ROLE

 

As a Drydock Project Manager , you are responsible for the planning and execution of drydocks projects for our fleet of vessels. To do so, you must:

  • Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations
  • Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies
  • Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis

 


WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?

 

Manage the drydock projets :

  • Planning
  • Set docking schedules
  • In collaboration with Fleet department, create and update drydock standard specifications
  • Prepare annual budget, with the Fleet Superintendent
  • Define project scope and specifications
  • Monitor project engineering and drawing issuance
  • Check Purchase Orders for the project
  • Provide technical advice to procurement department during supplier negotiation and selection phase
  • Plan and perform kick-off meeting.


Execution:

  • Liaise between all interested parties to monitor execution of the project (drydock or afloat repairs, class renewals, retrofits and new equipment installation)
  • Manage deviations to the initial specification
  • Monitor project expenditures and approve invoices up to limit of authorization
  • Monitor project status (progress and quality) and take actions when necessary, in liaison with the site office
  • Perform annual review with the yard and suppliers, including review of claim status.
     

Close-out and hand-over:

  • Perform yard evaluation
  • Perform hand-over and closing meeting
  • Perform project close-out (close contracts, compile final reports and documentation).

 

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

 

 

  • Graduated from a Master's degree in Engineering or Naval Architecture
  • You have a first technical experience in the shipping industry
  • Fluent English
  • Competent with various software, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. 
  • Project management and analytical skills
  • Rigor, method and organization
  • Multicultural experience.
