Project Manager Newbuilding (M/F)

THE ROLE : 
  
Working in our Newbuilding entity, as a Project manager you will report directly to the Newbuilding Director.  
 
  
RESPONSIBILITIES :
  
You shall: 

  • Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations; 
  • Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies; 
  • Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis; 
  • Issue comment on drawings for approval in accordance with shipbuilding contract; 
  • Seek for assistance or experts’ opinions for specific drawings; 
  • Follow up: 
    • drawing approval and work progress for you project; 
    • extra and credit, specification deviations; 
  • Provide Pre-delivery purchaser with necessary information to draw the list of initial stores and spare parts; 
  • Manage vessel’s delivery; 
  • Ensure specifications approval; 
  • Train New Building Superintendents. 

  
  
PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS :
  

  • You are an engineer graduate, naval architect or seafarer; 
  • You have a succesful experience as a Newbuilding Superintendent for 2 years or equivalent.  
  • Fluency in English and professional proficiency in French 
  • Good project management skills; analytical skills, result oriented; 
  • Technical knowledge of vessel design 
  • Effective verbal, written and presentation skills; 
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment; 
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible to change priorities; 
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
