Project Manager Newbuilding (M/F)
CMA Ships, a subsidiary of the CMA CGM Group, covers all facets of the maritime business: from the fleet management of the vessels to that of the crew members.
CMA Ships is also a team of experts responsible for implementing innovative solutions and making CMA CGM vessels more energy efficient.
THE ROLE :
Working in our Newbuilding entity, as a Project manager you will report directly to the Newbuilding Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
You shall:
- Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations;
- Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies;
- Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis;
- Issue comment on drawings for approval in accordance with shipbuilding contract;
- Seek for assistance or experts’ opinions for specific drawings;
- Follow up:
- drawing approval and work progress for you project;
- extra and credit, specification deviations;
- Provide Pre-delivery purchaser with necessary information to draw the list of initial stores and spare parts;
- Manage vessel’s delivery;
- Ensure specifications approval;
- Train New Building Superintendents.
PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS :
- You are an engineer graduate, naval architect or seafarer;
- You have a succesful experience as a Newbuilding Superintendent for 2 years or equivalent.
- Fluency in English and professional proficiency in French
- Good project management skills; analytical skills, result oriented;
- Technical knowledge of vessel design
- Effective verbal, written and presentation skills;
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment;
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible to change priorities;
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
