YOUR ROLE
You work in the Technical Expertise department of CMA Ships as an Expert on 2-stroke engines. In this context, you:
- Comply with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations
- Ensure all your duties in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental and ethics policies
- Propose a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodical basis
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?
- Provide expertise support in your field of competences to the fleets and ships
- Propose solutions to optimize vessels’ maintenance, design and operation
- Ensure technical communication outside CMA CGM to promote the technical skills of the CMA CGM group
- You may represent the Company in various meetings, conferences, public institutions, etc
- Closely work with R&D department of our suppliers for improvement
- Accumulate and share the experience across the fleets
- Prepare information and feedbacks to the fleets
- Know the supplier network and establish a good relation between societies
- Establish medium and long term strategy
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?
- Master’s degree in engineering
- At least 5 years' experience in the maritime industry on 2-Stroke Engines related topics
- Management or Project management skills
- Technically competent with various software programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc
- Analytical skills
- Effective verbal, written and presentation skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment
- Fluent in English.
