Trade Coordinator

For the Containerships head office in Hamburg we are recruiting a Trade Coordinator (m/f/d)

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Assistance in the day-to-day running of the trades from a commercial viewpoint in order to maximise revenue and minimise costs
  • Assist with pricing and special rates in consultation with the Trade Manager
  • Maintenance of the database of such rates for these services
  • Preparation of all necessary trade data as required by Trade Manager in preparation of management meetings and reports 
  • Liaison with agents on trade matters ensuring that they are aware of the trade objectives and current rate policy
  • Support of Trade Management concerning all matters related to quality accreditation
  • Help with vessel allocation management in order to maximise utilisation at the highest achievable contribution

 

You bring aboard:

  • Trained shipping clerk or other relevant qualification or studies
  • First relevant work experience in a shipping or logistics environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office (pivot tables, formulas, etc.)
  • Strong written and oral command of English
  • Commercially-driven mindset
  • Effective time management skills
  • Highly organized personality with ability to multitask
  • Proactive approach
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
