Communication & CSR Senior Manager - Africa Region

YOUR ROLE
The Regional Communication & CSR Manager is responsible for defining and implementing the regional communication strategy while integrating the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) priorities. The role aims to promote the company’s initiatives among local stakeholders while supporting social, environmental, and ethical programs at the regional level.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?
COMMUNICATION
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive internal and external communication strategies that align with Group objectives while adapting to regional contexts and audiences.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee high-impact external events led by the regional network to enhance stakeholder engagement and promote the Group’s strategic priorities.
- Strengthen CMA CGM’s brand visibility and reputation across Africa through innovative communication campaigns, digital initiatives, and media relations.
- Foster seamless communication and information flow between local entities, the Regional Office, and the Group Communication Department to ensure message consistency and operational alignment.
- Establish KPIs and conduct regular assessments of communication initiatives to measure performance, optimize impact, and guide continuous improvement
CSR
- Oversee and promote the Group’s CSR strategy across Africa by coordinating local action plans, monitoring initiatives, and engaging regional CSR representatives. Serve as the main CSR spokesperson, driving awareness and alignment with the Group’s sustainability priorities among internal and external stakeholders.
- Project development : Identify regional CSR challenges and opportunities, proposing relevant initiatives to headquarters and responding to partner requests. Maintain a regional overview of key clients’ CSR programs to strengthen alignment and partnership potential.
- Manage and monitor the regional CSR budget and performance indicators to ensure effective implementation and impact measurement. Conduct continuous benchmarking and monitoring of CSR regulations, competitors, and best practices across Africa.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, Sustainable Development, or equivalent. A specialization or certification in CSR or Sustainability is a strong advantage.
- Genuine interest and strong commitment to CSR and sustainability topics.
- Proven experience in project management.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities at all organizational levels.
- Autonomy, persuasion, proactivity, and leadership are key assets for success in this role.
- Fluent in both French and English.
- Proficient in IT tools, communication platforms, and reporting systems.
