Communication & CSR Specialist - Africa Region

YOUR ROLE
The Regional Communication & CSR Manager is responsible for defining and implementing the regional communication strategy while integrating the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) priorities. The role aims to promote the company’s initiatives among local stakeholders while supporting social, environmental, and ethical programs at the regional level.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?
CSR
Strategic Management and Regional Coordination:
- Deploy and monitor the Group’s CSR policy across the Africa region, in coordination with local stakeholders and headquarters.
- Support and define action plans aligned with the Group’s strategic priorities.
- Animate and coordinate the network of CSR representatives based in the Africa region.
- Raise awareness: organize webinars, conferences, campaigns, and sustainability initiatives to engage employees around CSR topics.
- Act as the regional spokesperson for the Group’s CSR strategy with both internal and external stakeholders.
Project Development:
- Proactively identify regional CSR challenges and propose relevant projects to headquarters.
- Monitor opportunities and respond to partner requests related to the Group’s CSR strategy.
- Develop and maintain a matrix of key clients’ CSR programs in the region to better target partnership opportunities.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Continuous Improvement:
- Build and manage the budget for local CSR initiatives in the Africa region (by country), and monitor its utilization.
- Track key performance indicators defined by headquarters and measure the impact of CSR initiatives in the region.
- Conduct active regulatory, competitive, and societal monitoring, as well as benchmarking of CSR best practices in Africa.
COMMUNICATION
- Implement and monitor internal and external communication strategies in line with Group objectives and local specificities.
- Coordinate external events organized by the regional network.
- Strengthen CMA CGM’s brand visibility through strategic and innovative initiatives.
- Ensure smooth communication between local entities, the Regional Office, and the Group Communication Department.
- Track and evaluate communication actions to measure their impact and effectiveness.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, Sustainable Development, or equivalent. A specialization or certification in CSR or Sustainability is a strong advantage.
- Genuine interest and strong commitment to CSR and sustainability topics.
- Proven experience in project management.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities at all organizational levels.
- Autonomy, persuasion, proactivity, and leadership are key assets for success in this role.
- Fluent in both French and English.
- Proficient in IT tools, communication platforms, and reporting systems.
