Network Area Manager - Africa Regional Office

YOUR ROLE 


Linked directly with the NAF WAF Regional Office and functionally with HO Group Agency Network Department, you will take part in the development, the monitoring of performances and the optimisation of the agency network.

 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?


•    Support and administer Head Office Global Experience Network requirements in NAF/WAF region 
•    Validate expenses related to IT, real estate and headcount etc., that are above agency GM limits by reviewing basis of request, assessing process accuracy and liaising with Head Office and Regional Office for approvals. 
•    Correspond with agencies and NAF/WAF Regional Office legal team on contracts, 3rd party agreement, leases. 
•    Annual budgeting exercise: Participate in annual budget exercise by coordinating with different stakeholders such as IT, Finance and Human Resource to ensure timeline and agenda is met on a timely manner 
•    Network information sharing: Organize and animate exchange sessions with agencies to share & receive value added information. Communicate with RO management, HO on weekly/fortnightly basis to update and receive information on agency matters. 
•    Control & improve agency cost/ TEU and productivity: Monitor key KPIs across the regions, ensure NAF/WAF agencies are meeting targets and work with respective functional departments in NAF/WAF Regional Office to resolve gaps in KPIs. Assess GM performance and capability and understand strengths and gaps of NAF/WAF agency teams. 
•    Agency network development: Conduct needs assessment on new agency set-up requirements and ensure deployment is done in a compliant manner. Review office openings/ closures, office lease decisions. 
•    Coordination of transversal topics or projects

 


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?


•    At least 5 years of industry experience across shipping or transportation industry, including international exposure with an MNC. 
•    Work experience in matrix environment in large international organizations would be ideal. 
•    Strong influential & project management skills coupled with solid communication presentation 
•    Knowledge of Commercial and/or Operations functions as well as agency processes. 
•    Ability to engage a diversity of stakeholders at various levels, strong communication skills 
•    Strong problem-solving skills and creativity with the ability to hear everyone’s opinions. 
•    Ability to synthesize heavy amount of information. 
•    Ability to handle stress and work with a multi-cultural team across geographies. 
•    French and English-speaking mandatory
•    Ethics, integrity, and respect for the confidentiality of information.
