Operations Specialist - Regional Office AFRICA

YOUR ROLE


Reporting to the COO Africa, you act as the operational and strategic right-hand in overseeing port and agency operations across the regional scope.

You play a key role in cross-functional coordination, action plan follow-up, KPI consolidation, and serve as a liaison between local teams, central departments, and the COO.

Based in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, you will conduct regular field missions to support teams, monitor projects, and ensure proper execution of the COO’s directives.

 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

  • Assist the COO in managing port and agency operations across the region.
  • Prepare and follow up on action plans resulting from audits conducted by the COO.
  • Consolidate key performance indicators (KPIs) and activity reports for the COO.
  • Coordinate communication between local agencies, central teams and the COO.
  • Participate in field missions with the COO and ensure follow-up on recommendations.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and propose solutions in collaboration with local teams.
  • Contribute to the optimization of flows (empty containers, intermodal, CCIS) with relevant teams.
  • Support the deployment of Group tools and training of local teams.

 

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

  • Proven experience in maritime, port, or agency operations (minimum 3 years).
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to synthesize and prioritize.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy to interact with port authorities and local teams.
  • Experience in project management or cross-functional coordination is a plus.
  • Proficiency in reporting and operational monitoring tools.
  • Team spirit, service-oriented mindset, and natural leadership.
  • Fluent in both French and English.
