YOUR ROLE

As a sales development professional, you will be at the heart of the local commercial strategy, responsible for identifying, qualifying, and following up on business opportunities. You will be the main point of contact for prospects and will work closely with our local sales teams to drive new projects and ensure a steady flow of qualified leads. This role requires the ability to understand the specific challenges of the maritime and logistics sector, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with Ivorian economic stakeholders.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?

- Regularly analyze the local market and various industrial segments to identify growth opportunities aligned with our commercial offerings.
- Implement multichannel prospecting actions: outbound calls, personalized emails, use of professional social networks, and participation in industry events to establish relevant contacts with potential clients.
- Accurately qualify the needs and expectations of prospects, understand their challenges related to maritime transport and logistics, and relay this information to the sales teams for better solution adaptation.
- Ensure rigorous management of the client and prospect database via our CRM tools, guaranteeing the accuracy and reliability of information and commercial follow-up.
- Work closely with the Local Sales department to develop targeted commercial strategies and support the preparation of tailored commercial proposals.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of business development methods by sharing field feedback to optimize our processes and tools.
- Represent CMA CGM Côte d'Ivoire at trade shows, conferences, and other local and regional professional events to increase the company's visibility and expand the professional network.

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

- Proven experience in business development, preferably in the maritime transport, logistics, or international trade sector.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and modern digital prospecting techniques, with the ability to leverage data to maximize commercial efficiency.
- Proactivity and autonomy in work organization, with a strong focus on results and customer satisfaction.
- Good knowledge of the Ivorian economy and the specifics of import/export trade is highly valued.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a stable and constantly developing international and multicultural environment.
- A good level of English and proficiency in office tools.
