YOUR ROLE
Over 90% of global trade is carried by sea. Every day, CMA CGM moves vast volumes of cargo across more than 200 shipping routes worldwide.
At the heart of liner shipping operations, the Shipping Lines Professional plays a key role in optimizing the commercial and pricing strategy within a defined geographical scope and acts as a key point of contact for CMA CGM agencies across the network.
This role offers a dynamic and challenging environment, providing a unique opportunity to develop within the core business of a global shipping leader.
Reporting to the Line Trade Manager, your main mission is to implement the commercial and pricing strategy for your trade area in order to secure and optimize vessel utilization.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?
As a Shipping Lines Professional, at the core of CMA CGM Group’s business, your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing the commercial and pricing policy for your scope in line with the guidelines set by the Market Manager and the Line Manager
- Handling all quotation requests received from CMA CGM agencies within your area
- Contributing to the preparation of the commercial budget together with the Market Manager and the Line Manager
- Monitoring performance and analyzing variances against budget in order to recommend corrective actions
- Providing market intelligence as a true expert of your trade area, including market analysis, business trends, and statistical follow-up
- Reporting key performance indicators and commercial results to line management on a regular basis
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?
- In accordance with the provisions of Article L122-1 of the French National Service Code, only candidates aged between 18 and 28 who are European nationals will be eligible for this VIE assignment.
- You have a postgraduate degree (5/6 years) in Business/Marketing and have previous experiences in Sales.
- You speak English fluently and have a good command of Office.
- A first experience or strong interest for the Shipping industry would be an asset.
