YOUR ROLE

 

Reporting directly to the COO, you will support the Regional Operations team in driving operational excellence, network performance, and strategic development across the MEA region.

 

In a fast-growing and complex shipping environment, you will provide data-driven insights to support operational improvements, fleet optimization, cost analysis, competitive intelligence, and business development initiatives. You will work closely with Line Operations, Port Operations, Commercial, Finance, and local agencies across the region.

 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?

 

A. Operations Excellence & Performance

  • Analyze regional operational processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor service performance, schedule reliability, and operational KPIs.
  • Propose and follow up corrective action plans to improve efficiency.
  • Support the implementation of operational reporting and performance dashboards.

 


B. Fleet & Network Analysis

  • Support fleet planning, vessel utilization analysis, and capacity management.
  • Monitor network performance and identify operational deviations.
  • Provide recommendations to optimize services and fleet deployment.

 


C. Business Intelligence & Market Analysis

  • Conduct competitive benchmarks and market intelligence studies.
  • Monitor competitor services, capacities, and regional developments.
  • Produce analytical reports to support management decision-making.

 


D. Cost Control & Strategic Projects

  • Analyze operational costs and support budget performance monitoring.
  • Develop business cases and scenario analyses for network development projects.
  • Support strategic initiatives related to new trade lanes and regional growth opportunities.

 

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

 

In accordance with the provisions of Article L122-1 of the National Service Code, only candidates aged 18 to 28 and European nationals are eligible for this mission offered as a VIE.

 

  • Master's degree in Shipping, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of significative experience.
  • Previous experience in shipping, logistics, maritime operations, or transportation is mandatory.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent numerical aptitude.
  • Advanced Excel skills and good knowledge of Power BI and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to perform operational, financial, and competitive analyses.
  • Mature, autonomous, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and work across multiple departments and cultures.
  • Fluent English is mandatory. French is not required.
  • Strong interest in shipping operations, network strategy, and maritime industry dynamics.
