YOUR ROLE

You will be part of the operations support team of our site in Nieuwegein, which consists of a team of 2 colleagues. You will perform your work on a day shift, with the freedom to work independently. You report to the Contract Supervisor.

 

The atmosphere on the site is characterized as informal, involved and personal. On location they work from Monday to Friday between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm. You determine your start and end time in consultation with your fellow colleague. In the beginning you will be operational.

 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

In this position you are concerned with inventory management. Together with your colleagues you analyze the physical stocks and compare them with the system. In this position you work a lot with the stock system on the computer (WMS) and you can regularly be found between the warehouse racks to count the physical stock in the warehouse. You detect deviations and make connections between the current stock and expected stock. You are also the point of contact for the organization and the customer when it comes to physical stock management and loss.

Your daily tasks include:

  • Managing and setting out (re)counts and creating and managing reports in the digital inventory system (WMS);
  • Actively counting and checking the stock in the warehouse;
  • Identifying and further addressing damage and deviations;
  • Achieving positive KPIs regarding damage and stock accuracy;
  • Devising and proposing optimization and improvement proposals;
  • Picking up and implementing improvement projects independently;
  • Contact with various internal departments;
  • Maintaining close contact with operational stakeholders (by telephone, e-mail and face-to-face);
  • Focus on quality and maintain it within the operation.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You get pleasure from organizing stock. You find the accurate processing and monitoring of data and maintaining solid contact particularly important in your job. You have an initiative-taking work attitude and respond to every signal from the business. You also enjoy collaborating with your colleagues.

 

In addition, you bring the following knowledge and experience:

  • MBO+/HBO working and thinking level;
  • Experience with stock counting/stock management; (is an advantage)
  • Experience in warehouse/contract logistics in various roles;
  • A professional command of English;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • You get along well with automated systems and MS Office. With Excel!
  • You are accurate, initiative-taking, know how to make connections and can solve problems yourself.
