As part of its growth and development, CMA CGM Benelux is recruiting a Cluster Trade Manager Benelux to join its Commercial team. We are looking for an experienced leader with a solid knowledge of shipping and international trade, analytical approach to market information, excellent people management capabilities and ambition to grow.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Cluster Commercial organization is responsible for delivering CMA-CGM’s ambitions growth strategy in the Benelux market. The Commercial team consists of Sales and Business Development teams in NL and BE and the Cluster Trade team. The Cluster Trade team is the connection between Line Management in Head Office and the Benelux Sales organization. The Cluster Trade Manager leads CMA CGM’s Benelux trade team, responsible for the implementation of the overall trade objectives as set by Head Office (HO) and the Commercial Strategy of the Benelux organization. The Cluster Trade Manager guides the local trade managers and analysts to manage maritime volume for all trades, which includes more than 20 lines in each port, Antwerp and Rotterdam, both import and export. The team monitors the performance and provides local sales and HO line management with enabling market intelligence to win in the market. This role is Benelux responsible and can be based in Rotterdam (Rhoon) or Antwerp with willingness to work from the other location 20-40% weekly.
The key responsibilities of the Trade Manager BLX are:
- Responsible for the Cluster the trade volume and allocation budget on geographical basis (NL & BE, Import and Export
- Guide, coach and manage the agency trade team to enable them to provide the necessary input to local sales HO to optimize the commercial performance of the Cluster.
- Coordination HO/RO, Lines & Sales on Maritime and pricing policy for your market
- Monitor and report cluster performance overall and per trade
- Responsible for quality market intelligence, including general market information and competitors’ information, are available to the sales organization and the line management in HO to enable opportunity building and intelligent commercial decisions.
- Align the short- and long-term strategy between agency, Cluster CCO, and Line Management in HO
- Drive the weekly and monthly direction setting to the sales organizations as well as reporting to HO
- Drive daily and weekly action plans with trade managers/analysts to improve performance
- Set up team structure, reporting and meetings aligned with company requirements
- Responsible for review of vessel allocations and performance
- Responsible for managing local roll pools and creating transparency
- Responsible for coordinating equipment needs with ILS and HO according to expected bookings
- Responsible for forecasting future performance per trade/vessels and initiate necessary action timely
