Assistant Sales Manager

JOB POSITION: ASSISTANT SALES MANAGER
YOUR ROLE: As the Sales Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving commercial success and expanding our presence in the market. You will be responsible for setting clear objectives, motivating your team, and ensuring the highest standards of customer service and operational excellence.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the sales team to maximize cargo sales and consistently monitor team performance against targets.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to increase market share on targeted trade lanes, identify new business opportunities and expand our customer base.
- Drive the team to increase sales volumes across the current portfolio and proactively seek out and onboard new customers to diversify and strengthen our client network.
- Support the sales team in identifying emerging market trends, customer needs, and potential areas for commercial growth.
- Lead and participate in commercial visits, actively promoting and selling strategic services to both existing and prospective clients.
- Consolidate and update all commercial data, including customer feedback and complaints, using the CRM tool to ensure accurate and actionable insights.
- Encourage the adoption of value-added services such as e-commerce, insurance, credit card log, and intermodal solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with the Line Manager to implement targeted action plans for commercial development, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of proven experience in the shipping line, freight forwarding, logistics, or related sectors.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required; specialization in logistics or supply chain management is highly preferred.
Professional Skills:
- Strong proficiency in both Thai and English languages, including speaking, writing, and reading.
- Ability to communicate in Chinese is considered a strong advantage.
- Comprehensive knowledge of dynamics trades, cultural norms, and operational practices.
Personal Qualities:
- Exceptional service orientation and interpersonal abilities, with a natural talent for building client relationships.
- Readiness to travel frequently for client meetings, networking, and participation in industry events.
- Demonstrates initiative, creativity, and a proactive approach to challenges.
