General Ledger Supervisor

JOB POSITION: GENERAL LEDGER SUPERVISOR
ROLE SUMMARY: You will work closely with departmental managers, regional office stakeholders in managing finance challenges, participate in project/assignment, preparation of accurate financial information and periodic reporting. Responsible for coordinating the day-to-day financial accounting functions of the company in order to produce accurate and timely financial information in a manner that is understandable and useful to both internal and external customers.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Ensures the accuracy and integrity of all accounting data
- Ensures optimal usage of financial systems to gain the best advantage from those systems
- Preparing annual budgeting and monitoring budget control
- Acts as backup for some management accounting tasks
- Ensure that the financial reporting commitments of the organization are met
- Ensures all VAT/ WHT returns/ statutory Tax form are submitted in a timely manner and all information contained is correct
- Ensures all HO accounting conforms and is completed in line with CMA CGM’s standards and requirements
- Ensure Good coordination with Group GBS as well as AR and AP
- Ensures external audit is completed in line with CMA CGM’s standards and requirements as well as Local tax rules and regulations
- Contributes to improved internal control and more effective use of the Company’s systems by participating in Branch audits. Audit objective is to check that financial controls are in place and are effective
- Provides assistance, guidance, leadership and support to work groups to facilitate the superior delivery of customer services to our clients
- Undertake extra and cross disciplinary duties when requested by your leader
- Provide support in month-end and year-end closing activities.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Minimum Level of Qualification:
- Minimum 5 years’ working experience (GL) or related fields
- Bachelor’s degree / University graduated in Finance & Accounting
- Possess CPD License
Professional Skills:
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Proficient in MS office and Experience in ERP/SAP
- Knowledge in shipping / forwarding industry would be an advantage
