Are you ready to act as the key interface between Lines, vessels, terminals, port authorities and internal departments to ensure operational excellence and business continuity, we want to hear from you!

🔍 The Role:

Lead, develop and optimize port operations activities within the assigned scope, ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective vessel operations aligned with company standards, KPIs and strategic objectives.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence

• Supervise, manage and continuously optimize vessel and port operations activities within the assigned scope.
• Ensure smooth execution of vessel calls while meeting company operational standards, contractual obligations and KPIs.
• Organize marine operations according to ETA/ETD planning while minimizing vessel idle time, port stay and operational disruptions.
• Ensure proper coordination between vessels, terminals, cargo flow teams, customer service, VSA partners, port authorities and all stakeholders involved.
• Monitor berth planning activities and operational execution to maximize productivity and operational efficiency.

Cost Control & OPEX Management

• Take full ownership of operational cost control and actively monitor OPEX evolution across the assigned perimeter.
• Challenge operational expenses and identify cost optimization opportunities without compromising service quality or operational reliability.
• Participate in negotiations with terminals, port authorities and operational suppliers to improve operational and financial performance.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, manage and develop multi-site operational teams, ensuring adequate staffing levels, accountability and performance management.
• Foster a culture of operational excellence, ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Ensure teams are properly trained and developed to meet business needs, operational challenges and transformation objectives.
• Support succession planning and identify talent development opportunities within the department.
• Promote employee engagement while maintaining high operational standards in a demanding operational environment.

Strategic Alignment & Transformation

• Implement company operational strategies, workflows, digital tools and transformation initiatives across local branches.
• Support process harmonization and standardization in line with global and regional objectives.
• Contribute to operational transformation projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Stakeholder & Risk Management

• Act as escalation point for operational incidents, service disruptions and major customer issues.
• Maintain strong relationships with port authorities, terminals, suppliers and operational partners.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards and company procedures.
• Identify operational risks proactively and implement mitigation and contingency plans.
