Outside Sales Representative (f/m/d) Basel

Your responsibilities: 

  • Achieve set sales budgets and targets  
  • Manage existing accounts and negotiations primarily through physical sales visits, but also through phone and written communication
  • Plan and conduct commercial visits as per agency sales’ segmentation and monitor via CRM Systems
  • Develop overall market share / turnover in accordance to commercial strategy
  • Identify the commercial market opportunities and register in the CRM system
  • Relay other requests from customers to Customer Care
  • Participate in establishing the Commercial actions plan and ensure the agency sales’ segmentation is correct and up to date
  • Promote CMA CGM Group Services and Non-Maritime products (e-commerce, VAS, intermodal, CEVA…)
  • Relay pricing requests from customers to Sales Support
  • Convince new accounts to give their support to CMA CGM that meets directives and objectives as determined by Trades and Management  
  • To have an account plan or prioritization / segmentation to ensure efforts are optimized for the right value customers, both current and prospects
  • Negotiate rates that are favourable to both CMA CGM and customers
  • Market intelligence and external lead generation activities
  • Manage internal negotiations with trade  
  • Plan weekly sales itinerary and update sales call & visits as well as results through internal CRM System  
  • Plan contract negotiations including proactively seek strategy updated from Trades and Management
  • Handle and accomplish goals on project-basis as assigned by Management
  • If acting as the designated country contact for a Key Account, strive to achieve their targeted SLAs through continuous collaboration with Trade, Operations and Finance  
  • Support Finance to ensure timely collection of freights  

 

You bring aboard: 

  • Apprenticeship in the shipping or logistic industry or an equivalent University Degree
  • Several years` experience within the shipping industry, espacially in the commodity segment
  • Experience in Outside Sales activities      
  • Fluent in English, German & French,  written and spoken language
  • Computer skills: MS Office, e-Commerce, SAP  
  • Judgment and decision making  
  • Communication and Customer Focus
  • Building relationships & networks
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel
