The Department

The Customer Service – Military and Explosive Cargo department is a small structure (2 people + 1 trainee) within the group. The team manages all local and international administrative tasks related to sensitive cargo bookings (military, explosive, radioactive) and ensures regulatory compliance.

Main responsibilities include:
- Securing approvals from all ports called by the vessel
- Validation by the vessel owner
- Validation from the Dangerous Cargo Office (worldwide department working with all group agencies)
- Cross-functional coordination with other internal departments

Please note: this position does not involve direct interaction with customers, but focuses on centralized and administrative management of files.

Internship Topic

Harmonization of work processes between the Defense Cargo and Sensitive Cargo departments.

Main Missions

- Monitoring and validation of bookings received from CMA CGM agents
- Drafting SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for both departments
- Harmonizing similar processes across teams
- Designing a shared working file
- Creating product sheets for military cargo
- Supporting the improvement of administrative and regulatory processes

Candidate Profile

Education

- Bachelor’s or Master’s level student (Business school, University, or specialized studies in Transport/Logistics)
- Previous experience in maritime transport is a plus

Technical Skills

- Good command of Excel
- Knowledge of maritime transport/logistics appreciated
- Fluent English (an additional language would be a plus)

Soft Skills

- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Rigorous, well-organized, and detail-oriented
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills
- Team spirit and ability to work transversally
