Executive/Officer :  Vessel Operations, Bangladesh

Role Summary  :

The Vessel Operations Executive is responsible for coordinating and monitoring vessel operations to ensure safe, efficient, and timely loading and discharging activities. The role supports operational excellence through accurate reporting, documentation management, cargo planning, and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with company standards and port regulations

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and coordinate vessel loading and discharging operations to ensure smooth and safe port activities.

• Prepare and maintain vessel operation documents, including Bay Plans, AGW, Final Departure Files, SLC, and SDC.

• Update the Port Reporting System (PRS) accurately and on time throughout the vessel port call.

• Upload vessel EDI and other required operational documents to port authority and terminal systems.

• Share cargo-related information and reports with terminals, partners, and internal stakeholders.

• Communicate and coordinate with vessel crews, commercial teams, planners, terminal operators, and partners to support daily operations.

• Ensure compliance with company procedures, operational requirements, and KPI targets for vessel operations and reporting. 

Requirements 

• 2–3 years of experience in vessel operations, port operations, shipping, logistics, or supply chain management.

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in any relevant discipline.

• Good knowledge of vessel operations, cargo handling, and port regulations.

• Experience with shipping systems, EDI documentation, and operational reporting.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and Outlook.

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
