Position Summary

The Director, State Government Relations, serves as the primary contact point on all state government affairs matters. Provides intelligence, advice, and support for all Group businesses and U.S.-based companies and Head Office under the CLO direction concerning proposed regulatory and policy changes in states where the Group does business. Represents the Group before state and local governments including councils, legislators and staff. Leads and supports grant and other resource opportunities for Group companies with local and state governments. The role will directly contact the Senior Leadership Team and help drive decision-making based on the state and local government intelligence gathered and disseminated.

Functions & Duties

• Provides intelligence, advice, and support for all Group businesses and U.S.-based companies and Head Office under the direction of the CLO concerning proposed regulatory and policy changes in states where the Group does business.   
• Represents the Group before state and local governments including councils, legislators and staff and advocates on behalf of Group businesses.   
• Communicates with customers, vendors, and other contract partners as required regarding state laws, policies, and their business impact. 
• Leads and supports grant and other resource opportunities for Group companies with local and state governments. 
• Provide support and backup for other special projects in the U.S. and on global matters as required.   
• MISCELLANEOUS RELATED DUTIES or PROJECTS AS ASSIGNED

At CMA CGM, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The expected salary range for this position is $127,000 – $162,000 per year. The actual salary offered will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and location.

In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for: 
Performance-based bonuses, Comprehensive benefits, including Health Insurance, Retirement Plans, Tuition repayment, Paid time off, and Professional development opportunities.
