YOUR ROLE:

• Manage equipment balance and monitor control procedures
• Ensure and monitor city limit, up country and international shipment delivery

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ? 

Responsibility 1: Fulfil all validated booking requests in accordance with the applicable procedure

To this end, the incumbent must:

• Arrange the release of empty containers and container fitting materials in accordance with validated bookings.
• Immediately address customer complaints resulting from delays in container positioning or collection.
• Comply with the Group’s relevant internal procedures.

Responsibility 2: Optimise stock levels within the defined reporting cycle

To this end, the incumbent must:

• Update and circulate, within the defined reporting cycle, the list of bookings awaiting container positioning.
• Prepare and circulate the container stock report within the required timeframe to management and the relevant agency staff.
• Follow the procedure for transferring containers and container fitting materials from the port to the designated storage facility.
• Continuously monitor stock levels (containers, seals and container fitting materials) and alert agency management and regional office.

Responsibility 3: Ensure the cost-effective management of equipment

To this end, the incumbent must:

• Update the periodic billing and consumption report for container fitting materials.
• Monitor and coordinate the transfer or evacuation of empty containers and related invoices from suppliers: Terminal and transporters
• Collect commercial forecasts periodically and prepare the forecast.
• Participate in periodic activity meetings.
• Apply instructions from Logistics Regional and Head Office regarding stock management.

Responsibility 4: Intermodal delivery / Transport

To this end, the incumbent must:

• Monitor city limits, up country and international shipment delivery or pick up for road transport
• Ensure system update  and transport PO creation
• Control transport invoice 

Note: The incumbent may be required to perform any other duties assigned within the scope of their competencies.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ? 

Education level and field(s) of study  :  Five years post-secondary qualification in Transport and Logistics

Experience   : At least two years of experience

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of logistics fundamentals and flow management

Technical skills:

• Good knowledge of management software
• Good command of English
• Good IT skills (Microsoft Office and Windows)
