YOUR ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Air Import Operator to join our fantastic Air Operating Centre in Hounslow, London Heathrow.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into the Air Operation Manager you will handle air import shipments. You will be liaising with overseas agents & airline handling agents, arranging renoms, BI’s and handover invoices, T1 discharge, creating records and ensuring customs clearance is completed. You will do the bond check and cass invoices. You will work closely with the warehouse, the Import Customer Service Team and the overseas offices.

You will track and trace shipments, update customers on any milestones and archive documents.

You will be communicating with a wide range of both external customers and agents as well as internal stakeholders, so strong and confident communication both verbal and written is a must.

The shift pattern for this role is 4 on/4 off – 07:00-19:00.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate will have an air freight operation experience, able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of import ideally have previous experience of working with cargowise. You will have excellent time management and organisational skills, as well as a natural and strong communicator with the ability to problem solve and adapt.
